The blood tests are performed in an NHS laboratory and all records are securely stored and confidential. For you health and wellbeing it may be necessary for your NHS Doctor to access this information if clinically relevant to the treatment of an underlying health issue.

Those who discover abnormal values from their blood tests are hereby advised to seek further medical advice from their general practitioner. In the event of such results you will be informed by an asterix on the result form, indicating a value which falls outside normal parameters and in the written interpretation.

You will be required to sign the Patient agreement to investigation or treatment consent form and a Confidentiality agreement.

The blood tests performed are for health conscious adult males who have an interest in their hormone levels and attaining peak fitness and performance.

All undertakings of Vitruvian Man are in strict adherence to the NMC professional code of conduct.

Vitruvian Man is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the scope of “Treatment of disease, disorder or injury” including “Diagnostic and screening procedures”. You can check my CQC registration here

The standards of any clinical work performed will meet those outlined by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), the Department of Health (DoH), Public Health England (PHE) and the National Treatment Agency (NTA) of the NHS.

Aaron has 18 years experience working as a Registered Nurse and continues to work within the NHS. All activities performed by Vitruvian Man meet NHS clinical standards.

About Vitruvian Man

Vitruvian Man is the sole trading name of Aaron Carnahan RCpN (Registered Comprehensive Nurse, NZ).

Aaron has worked extensively within the NHS and continues to do so, specialising in Anabolic/Androgenic Steroid (AAS) and Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs (PIED) of which he is the professional lead for the Substance Misuse Service.

Aaron engages with hundreds of AAS/PIED users through the Needle Exchange Programme. He also conducts staff training for both NHS and Local Authority employees about AAS/PIED use. He has completed studies in  post-graduate advanced pharmacology at Wolverhampton University.

He is a qualified Nurse Independent Prescriber and registered with the NMC. This entitles the issuing of private prescriptions.

Aaron has been weight training for  over 20 years with a special interest in bodybuilding supplements.

In addition, Aaron is a regular contributor to The Beef magazine where he writes a column in each issue, promoting health with factual advice.
